Super Sentai is a a Japenese Show with a 30 plus year position.
Every year a new team of spandex clad heroes battle a new evil
force ( In a mostly unrelated
string of seasons). Super Sentai is produced by Toei ( a major
production company in Japan). In the eighties, Haim Saban
struck a deal with Toei to gain permission to produce Zyuranger
footage into an American TV Show. They spliced Amercian
footage with the Zyuranger footage to created Mighty Morphing Power
Rangers. Saban had the rights to adapt any Super Sentai afterwards. And
continued to adapt the latest Sentai every season. Eventually Power
Rangers started to follow the yearly restart formula of Sentai.
When Disney aquired Power Rangers they got the rights to use all
pre Zyuranger Super Sentai ( just to make sure no one else could). The
newest Super Sentai incarnation will be; Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. It
will air sometime in 2009. Super Sentai is part of the Tokusatu genre.
Which include shows like Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Metal Heroes, ect... (
Most of him produced by Toei itself).
Update: I just went though and moved everything over onto the PRO
layout. I think this makes the site look better. I also added some
small things an reorginized the certian things. I also added sections
for the latest Super Sentat This is the first update Super Sentai
Online has had in awhile. I hope to continue to improve Super Sentai
